Clenching and grinding are common causes of facial pain around the muscles of the face and the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Grinding can also cause abnormal and premature wear of the teeth, potentially leading to tooth sensitivity or pain and unesthetic teeth.
Most often, people who clench or grind are not aware of their habits because they occur at night while we are asleep.
Mouthguards that are custom-fabricated in our dental laboratory can be provided to you to reduce the symptoms and signs associated with clenching and grinding and to reduce the premature wear of your teeth.

A custom mouthguard specific for use during sports activities may be fabricated to protect your teeth while you play. Custom guards fit exactly around your teeth and thus are more comfortable to wear and less likely to be dislodged while playing sports.
