Root Canal Therapy
Deep cavities, deep cracks, tooth trauma, or other injuries to a tooth may cause discomfort and/or infection due to damage
of the tooth pulp where the nerve fibers are housed. In some cases, the tooth can be saved by cleansing and filling of
the inner canals of the tooth.
Following root canal therapy, the tooth usually requires further restorative treatment, including a filling and/or a crown
to replace the tooth structure lost while cleaning out the diseased tooth. The additional treatment needed depends on
how much viable tooth structure remains following the root canal therapy.
